The toughest waterproof flooring stands up to spills, pet accidents, and muddy shoes as well as water. The flooring repels stains along with damage from moisture. Ceramic tile, luxury vinyl, and laminate are waterproof materials installed anywhere in the home. Carpetime offers all three types of flooring in a range of styles. You can visit our showroom in Massillon or Canton, Ohio, or our mobile showroom can come to your home.
Ceramic tile
Ceramic and porcelain, a type of ceramic, are made of coarse clay and kaolin clay, which is hardened in a high-temperature kiln. Ceramic is porous but waterproof when it is glazed. Porcelain, the most durable type of tile on the market, is inherently waterproof. Square, solid-colored ceramic tiles, and wood-look and stone-look porcelain tiles are popular.
Luxury vinyl flooring
Standard sheet vinyl is budget-friendly, while luxury vinyl planks and tiles are less costly than the stone, ceramic, and wood flooring they mimic. Waterproof vinyl flooring tolerates moisture for long periods. Luxury vinyl that has a wood-plastic composite or a stone plastic composite core is waterproof. WPC flooring is softer underfoot than virtually indestructible SPC flooring.
Laminate flooring
Standard and waterproof laminate flooring has a fiberboard core that keeps it warm underfoot every season. Spill and water cleanup should be immediate when classic brands are installed in your home. For waterproof brands, 'as soon as possible' cleanup is recommended, although most brands can tolerate water for up to 30 hours.
